Fox World Travel School Policies

School Regulation and Student Conduct Policy

Students will conform with the entrance and exit times set by the school for security purposes. Permission to arrive early or stay late may be obtained from a staff member.

Fox World Travel School expects mature behavior. Regulations governing student conduct and activities are based on the premise that each student is subject to termination with no re-admittance for conduct which disrupts the teaching or administrative activities of the school community. Examples of conduct which would be considered unsatisfactory under these standards include dishonesty, failure to comply with school regulations or with the directions of the school officials acting in performance of their duties, physical abuse of any person at school functions, and theft of or damage to school property or to property belonging to any member of the school.

Credit For Previous Education Or Training

Due to the diverse course content, the school does not allow credit for previous training or work experience.

Attendance Policy

Students are expected to attend all classes as scheduled and to be on time. An excused or unexcused absence will be recorded when a student is not in attendance for a regularly scheduled class date (excluding holidays). All absences and tardiness will be recorded at the beginning of each class and will be made available to potential employers for a period of up to seven years.

Students attending classes will have no more than four unexcused absences in the program. A student with four unexcused absences may either be put on probation for a two week period or dismissed from the course with no opportunity for re-admittance. If put on probation, the student is required to be present and on time for the entire probation period. If not, the student will be dismissed and not allowed to rejoin the class. Any student not present at the beginning of class will be considered tardy. Tardiness in excess of four times will be handled in the same manner as absences.

Any student who will be absent is asked to notify the instructor ahead of time. Illness of the student, accident or death of a family member will be considered an excused absence. The student is responsible for obtaining any work missed while absent. If the student misses a quiz, in-class assignment or test, it may be made up at the convenience of the instructor within two of original test date. The student is eligible to earn any grade with no limitations for make up work, quizzes or tests taken later due to excused absences.

Due to the operational schedule of the course (one per calendar year), the school does not grant leaves of absence.

Refund Policy

The school will refund all money paid to the school by the student, if the student is not accepted or if the student gives written notice of cancellation within three business days after acceptance. The school will make any refunds due as a result of cancellation within ten business days after receiving notice of cancellation.

1. If for any reason a student withdraws or is dismissed by the school prior to attending classes, no more than $100.00 will be retained.

2. If for any reason a student withdraws or is dismissed by the school during or at the end of the first week of attendance, the charge will not exceed the pro-rata portion of the total cost of the course of instruction, plus a one-time application fee of $100.00. The pro-rata portion will be calculated in the following manner:

a.) The school will determine the number of course chapters completed from the start of the student's participation until the notice of withdrawal;

b.) The number of course chapters elapsed will be divided by the number of sessions required to complete the course of instruction; and

c.) The resulting number will be multiplied by the total cost of the course of instruction.

3 If for any reason a student withdraws or is dismissed by the school after completing 60% of the course of instruction, the charge will not exceed the total cost of the course of instruction.

Notice Of Withdrawal/Dismissal

If a student fails to attend classes for a period of ten consecutive classes without providing prior to or during that period an explanation to the school regarding their absences, the student will be considered withdrawn from the program. The school will make any refunds due within 30 calendar days to the student in the event of dismissal or notice of withdrawal.
