About Czech Republic and Hungary
Czech Republic (Capital City: Prague)

The Czech Republic is an unsung haven for some of the most beautiful and valued elements in the world. This country is surprising in its natural beauty and outstanding surroundings and is host to some of the most exceptional culturally-rich places in the world. Everything from the cuisine, history and the music, (and don’t forget the wild nightlife), is awaiting your discovery.
As you walk through the culture-soaked bohemian streets, you will be lured into restaurants by the smells of the hearty and delicious foods. Everything from homey potato soup to world-class seafood, you’ll find your taste buds will be savoring every delicious bite. Dessert brings with it traditional delicacies such as ice cream sundaes, apple strudel, and crepes. Czech beer and Moravian wines can be sampled and enjoyed throughout the country, enhancing the unique experience of the cuisine and culture.
The fairytale look of Prague masks the outstanding nightlife which is legendary among travelers from all over the world. Clubs like the 24 hour Lavka bar at the foot of the Charles Bridge and the chaos of the huge ‘Face 2 Face’ offer what often feels like no-rules partying. The Czech Republic has a reputation for inexpensive cocktails. It doesn’t take much exploring to find a small bar with almost criminally cheap prices on Czech beers, vodka and Becherovka, a traditional Czech herb liquor. For many locals, the best way to spend an evening is at the neighborhood pub, enjoying world-class beer and some boisterous conversation. These types of evenings are always open to visitors, of course, though the language may occasionally be an issue (at least at the start of the night before the beer kicks in).
When you need a break from sampling delicious Czech food and drinks, you might find yourself with time for a listening adventure. The Czech Republic is known for its marvelous and truly unparalleled musical culture.
The famous history that built this beautiful country is highlighted in every castle, church, chateaux and town you will visit. The cities are some of the most beautiful in the world and you will be a welcomed guest in one of the most unique atmospheres on earth. The country is dominated by 12 UNESCO sites, which create the cultural heritage of this great country, ensuring that you will not leave without learning the fascinating history and secrets of this beautiful land.
Welcome to a land that is magical and mythical in all that it embodies. Experience a vacation where classical music floats throughout the crisp night air, where you are greeted by the smells of fresh honey cakes and blueberry dumplings, and where history is soaked into the very streets you walk on and buildings you rest in.
CUISINE: Our suggestions include potato soup, lobster, honey cakes, and more.
ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT: The Czech Republic is known for its famed symphonies and opera, but it also has a fantastic theater program.
INSIDE INFO:
- Local language is Czecha and some German and Russian
- The country is no bigger than Scotland
- Currency : Koruna (CZK) or Crown
- Generally 220 volts AC, 50Hz
Hungary (Capital City: Budapest)

Hungary is traditionally known as a sensible place of kings and politics, yet at the same time magical in its music, art, and overall culture. In truth, there is a lot of melding between traditional Western Europe and mystical Eastern Europe to be found in Hungary, and these cultures form a unique one truly worth experiencing.
When you walk around in this country, you will be awestruck by the marvelous things you see. The architecture is fascinating. The dome shaped buildings are painted with jeweled tones of Eastern Europe, designed to shimmer in the sun and glow in pouring rain. While here, you will want to see the Old Jewish Quarters in Budapest, and the royal basilica to truly enhance your experience of Hungarian architecture.
Other beautiful sights that reflect the culture and history of this country include all of Budapest, known as the Paris of central Europe, the radiance of Lake Tisza’s beautifully smooth water, and the heviz Thermal Bath, covered with water lilies and growing to an average of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, making it swim able even in winter.
The wine region on Eger-Tokaj will open your taste buds to some of Europe’s finest and most unique wine selections. Here, you will also be able to taste some of the best Hungarian cuisine in the country. Specialties include salami, goose liver, and traditional meaty soup. The cuisine here is heavy and hearty, making it satisfying to all.
When you’re finished exploring the culture and cuisine of Budapest, there’s no need to head back to the hotel for an early night. Hungarians like their culture, but they also like their drink! Bars are plentiful in Budapest. Here, you’ll find the odd beer hall (söröző) or old school wine bar (borozó) where rough wines and beers are sold for next to nothing. Outdoor garden bars, often occupying the courtyards of abandoned buildings, have long been a fixture of the nightlife scene. When it comes to seeking a Budapest nightlife that will do your time in the city justice, you might want to check out Petofi Csarnok, which can be found within City Park (Varosliget). It is here that the stage opens up to reveal the Budapest nightlife gems of both local and international rock bands and is the perfect place to dance until your feet no longer move.
CULTURE: The people here are proud to open their land, culture, and history to you. Despite strong influences from other countries throughout 1100 years, Hungary is a unique country that is very different and special in comparison to all of Europe.
LANGUAGE: Discover Hungarian phrases that will help you feel more at home during your travels and will enhance your Hungarian experience as you can communicate with locals.
ARCHITECTURE/DECORATIVE ARTS: The architecture here is beautiful and fascinating. You will find it is enchanting in a way, making it difficult for you to take your eyes off of it.
