Zuiderdam

The first of Holland America's Vista Series, the Zuiderdam effortlessly accommodates up to 1,848 passengers. Two exterior glass elevators whisk passengers along 10 vertical decks while offering panoramic ocean views. Guests can also soak up scenery and salt air from the comfort and privacy of their staterooms--85% feature ocean views and 67% include verandah.

The Vista Series features expanded spa and children's facilities, more dining and entertainment options than ever before, and activities to suit every style. The Ocean Spa features a hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam rooms, and 11 suites for an array of tantalizing body treatments from loofah scrubs to massages to aromatherapy sessions. Strolling along the ship's three promenade decks, swimming in three separate pools, or perfecting ground strokes on the practice tennis courts are just a few of the active options for passengers, plus there's a fully equipped fitness center.

Dining and entertainment options abound. Passengers can dine in a formal, candlelit atmosphere in the two-level main dining room, La Fontaine, or enjoy a more casual meal in the Lido Restaurant. Broadway-style shows take to the stage in the three-tiered Queen's Lounge, while the more intimate, cabaret-style lounge hosts vocalists, comedians, magicians, and other performers. The casino thrums with excitement. Unwind at the Piano Bar, send e-mail messages in the Internet Cafe, or relax with a frothy cup of cappuccino in the Coffee Corner.
