Zaandam

The musically themed Zaandam offers a unique atmosphere to all 1,440 passengers onboard. The ship's art, artifacts, and memorabilia represent all types of music, featuring everything from autographed guitars to an incredible baroque-style Dutch organ. With two-tiered show lounges and dining rooms, deluxe staterooms, and suites with sweeping verandahs, the ship offers something for everyone--whether it is adventure or relaxation.

Spend your time swimming in the pools, or strolling along teak decks while taking in the view. A sculpture of five leaping dolphins stands beside the pool on the Lido deck. At the Ocean Spa, guests can pick their indulgence. Among the offerings are hot stone massage and special steam treatments. State-of-the-art exercise equipment is on hand in the fitness center, and high-tech computers allow guests to access email in the ship's Internet Center. There are also plenty of children's activities and occasional lectures or classes for guests of all ages.

The main dining room is spread over two decks connected by a spectacular spiral staircase and features a breathtaking three-sided ocean view. Sit down for a formal dinner, or go for a more casual meal at the Italian restaurant. Snacks are abundant on board and guests can always stop in at the Lido Buffet for a quick bite to eat, or the outdoor grill for hot dogs and hamburgers. Perhaps you prefer a cappuccino, espresso, or ice cream at one of the bars around the ship, or maybe you'll want to indulge at the chocolate buffet--unique to the Holland America experience. Broadway-style entertainment takes place in the ship's elegant theatre, and options for night owls range from casino gambling to cheering on the home team in a sports bar.
